GOD IS WEALTHY AND WISE

Christians and wealth is a subject that has been misunderstood by many people because of a lack of understanding of what God’s Word has to say about it. Many say that financial and material wealth shouldn’t be talked about in churches; that money is evil, and you cants be spiritual if you have material wealth. And the list of negative comments goes on and on.
It’s time that we rightly divide this subject and get a clear understanding of it by simply looking at it from God’s Word, which is truth, instead of from devil inspired poverty teaching that churches have accepted and taught in centuries past!
PROSPERITY DEFINED
The WORLD thinks you’re prospering when you have financial and political power, when in fact, money is the lowest form of power there is.
Now, the God kind of prosperity or true prosperity is the ability to use God’s power to meet the needs of mankind in any realm of life; whether the need be spiritual, physical, financial, material, mental, emotional, social, political or whatever it might be. Consequently, prayer is the highest form of power that there is!
For example, if you have one million dollars in the bank and have two weeks to live because you have an incurable and terminal disease-you’re not prospering. Your money can’t help you. But if that same man were to trust God instead of money, God would cause him to prosper financially as well as physically That’s true prosperity!
GOD’S THE SOURCE
God’s the one who blessed Abram with cattle, silver, and gold. God’s the one that made Abram VERY RICH in material things (Gen. 13:2).
Jesus is the one that redeemed you and me from the curse of the law in order that Abraham’s blessings might come upon us. These blessings are not spiritual only but include financial and material wealth (Gal.
3:13-14, Deut. 28). God’s the author of prosperity in all areas of life. God himself lives in prosperity this very moment in time and has already provided prosperity for you and me through His Son, Jesus, if you and I will only believe it!

WHY PROSPER?
The bottom line of why God wants you and me to prosper is for the same reason that He prospered Abram (Gen. 12:1-3). That reason is so that you and I can be a blessing to others. You can’t give something that
you don’t have. It takes finances to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ into all the world so that people can be blessed spiritually, first of all by being Born Again, and then to allow the “Word” to cause them to
prosper in every area of life. God has given man power to get wealth so that His covenant may be established here on earth (Deut. 8:18).
GETTING IT GOD’S WAY
To live a prosperous life, in every area of life, your soul must prosper in ALL THE TRUTH OF THE WORD. God’s power is in direct relationship with His Word. He uses His Word to release His power. He sent His Word that we may be in contact with His power (III John 2, Isaiah 55:11).
If we do what God tells us to do in Joshua 1:8 and Psalms 1:13 -WE WILL PROSPER not only financially but in all areas of life. The Hebrew writer used the word “to verbalize” for the word meditate. Rotherham’s
translation does not use the word meditate. Instead it is translated “talk to thyself therein day and night.” So, if we will confess or talk God’s Word day and night, faith will come and we’ll prosper in ALL that
we do (Heb. 3:1, Rom. 10:17, Mark 11:2324), assuming that you are a doer of the Word and not a hearer only Games 1:22 & 26). The Word of God is the key to prosperity!
OUR HEAVENLY ACCOUNT
Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:1821 that we do have a heavenly account. He’s encouraging us to operate in the heavenly financial system instead of the world’s financial system.
The world’s financial system is totally inadequate. It’s designed-so that the average person can never get ahead of the system. Inflation and other enemies keep people’s nose to the grindstone. They’re made
slaves to the system. Even those who may be millionaires have been known to go broke overnight.
But God’s financial system is designed to cause you to prosper to the point where you do not have to depend on the world’s system because God becomes your source and He is unlimited in His ability
and willingness to meet your every need abundantly (Phil 4:19, Eph. 3:20).
The secret in receiving from God financially and materially is in believing and doing His Word. The blessings start flowing when you step out by faith and “GIVE” according to Luke 6:38. You’ll never receive
anything unless you give! The law of sowing and reaping requires one to plant seed before he can harvest. And when one plants seed, (money) in his case, you can always expect much more in return than what you
planted as seed.
Now, there are two primary ways of making deposits in your heavenly account. One is by bringing God’s tithe to the storehouse, and the other is by making investments for the Gospel’s sake.
TITHES AND OFFERINGS
Tithing is not part of the curse of the law like some believe. Tithing was practiced by Abraham 430 years before the law (Gen. 14:18-20), and by Jacob 200 years before the law (Gen. 28:1022). God incorporated
tithing into the law so that He could continue to bless His people financially and materially under the law. For the same reason, tithing is part of the new covenant where Jesus is the High Priest who receives the tithe today (Heb. 7:8).
The tithe (10%) belongs to God. For you not to bring God’s tithe to the storehouse is to rob God according to Malachi 3:8-10. The storehouse is where the WORD is being taught. Signs will follow the Word. People will be born again, filled with the Holy Spirit, healed and delivered. (Mark 16:15-20, Acts 8:5-17, etc.).
God forbids you to give His tithe to a dead work (Deut. 26:14). It’s a blessing for us to be able to tithe. It’s God’s primary way to bring financial and material wealth to his children.
Really when we tithe, we’re simply giving back what already belongs to God. But, offerings are over and above the tithe and involve REAL GIVING from our substance, which will bring blessings to us abundantly
in every area of life. (Mal. 3:8-10; Mark 10:2830)!!!
PRAY BEFORE GIVING
The proper way to bring the tithe to our High Priest today is described in Deuteronomy 26:1-15, Colossians 1:12-14, Hebrews 6:13 through Hebrews 7:8.
Here is a suggested prayer for presenting our tithes and offerings to the Lord Jesus: “Jesus, as our Lord and High Priest, we bring the first fruits of our income to you and worship the Lord our God
with it. We rejoice in all the good which You have given to us and our household. We have harkened to the voice of the Lord our God and have done according to all that He has commanded us. Now look down from your Holy habitation from Heaven and bless our giving one hundredfold as You said in Your Word.” AMEN.
MAKING THE WITHDRAWAL
Once you have made the deposits, you make the withdrawals by faith. So here is a guide for receiving from giving in any area of life:
1. Decide what you need Games 1:5-8).
2. Lay hold of it by faith. (Mark 11:23-24, Matthew 18:19).
3. Bind Satan’s power over what rightly belongs to you. (Malachi 3:11, Mark 16:17, James 4:7).
Plead the blood of Jesus over it.
5.Loose the Forces (Angels) of Heaven (Heb. 1:14, Psalms 103:20).
Praise God for the Answer!

God has raised up a people that believe His Word. They can be trusted with riches. They’re operating in God’s financial system by faith, which is enabling God to move the wealth of the World into the Body of
Christ like never before-in order that the Gospel of Jesus Christ may be taken to every corner of the earth with an abundance of financial and material wealth to finance the Gospel! We’re a blessed people to be part of what God is doing today!
