Job Description: Naomi – Ruth Fellowship Director
Sis. Jan Fargell
Truth Tabernacle – 1993
Ministry Description
This is a generation of troubled youth. Drugs, cults, and peer pressure attack our young people on ever level. As a result, amy teens just need somebody – an adult – to confide in. Unfortunately, many are reluctant to confide in their parents. To provide this opportunity is the purpose of the Naomi – Ruth Fellowship. The concept is simple: each young preson’s name is placed on a form along with their ages, birthdays, and other pertinent information. Those wishing to participate draw a name at random. They agree to make themselves available as a ‘mentor’ and prayer partner to this young person for one year. They pray for them each day. They offer encouragement and positive, uplifting advice when needed. They provide a listening ear when requested by the young person. They spend some time with the young person when possible. They send them occasional cards or notes to encourage them spiritually and emotionally. In short, they are there to provide encouragement and reinforce the importance of the church, their pastor, and their parents in their lives.
