These texts are given to show we received nothing through the linage of Adam that has any salvation qualities. The scripture declares that death, sin, and our body of sin or sin nature are given to us through our natural birth in the genes of our parents. Sin not righteousness is inherited through the flesh. Jesus said in John 3:6, “That which is born of the flesh is flesh.” Not one righteous property is in our flesh. The first man Adam sold all mankind under sin (Rom. 7:14). Paul gives the diagnosis of the universal sin condition of man and clearly states that “There is none that doeth good no not one.” God hath concluded all are under sin both Jew and Gentile.
Since Shem, Noah’s son, was the Semetic legal line of Christ and all Gentiles were ” without hope, without God in this world” (Eph. 2:11-19) how then could a so-called Godly seed be physically passed through the gentiles? It could not, of course, be done! That is why salvation is not dependant upon our natural birth but rather on our new birth by water and Spirit. The song of the redeemed proclaims “by Thy Blood (not some human bloodline) Thou hast redeemed us out of every kindred, nation, tongue, and
people.” Rev. 5:9.
Peter’s vision of the Gentiles in Acts 10 showed that even though they were an unclean people that they were cleansed by an act of God. Thank God that through the sacrifice of His holy flesh, not my sinful
flesh, I am redeemed! Peter stated that out of every nation he that feareth God and worketh righteousness is accepted of Him. Acts 10:34-35.
The following verses are given to show that nothing we received from Adam through the flesh has any salvation qualities:
John 1:13 …”Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”
John 3:6 … “That which is born of the flesh is flesh …”
I Pet. 1:23 …”Being born again, not of corruptible (human) seed…”
I Pet. 1:24 … “All flesh is as grass, and the glory of man as the grass.”
Rom. 7:18 … “For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) dwelleth no good thing.”
Rom. 8:5 … “For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh. For to be carnally minded is death … because the carnal mind is emimity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.”[ This is our mind which we received from the flesh, it is carnal and James 3:15 says that the earthly is sensual and devilish. Adam through his sin made Satan the head of the human spirit (see Eph. 2:2-3).]
Rom. 6:6 … “Knowing this that our old man is crucified with Him that the body of sin might be destroyed.”
Rom. 7:23 … “Another law working in my members warring against the law of my mind … the law of sin in my members.”
I Cor. 2:12 … “The natural receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God for they are foolishness unto him, neither can he know them:”
Gal. 5:17 … “For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit … these are contrary the one to the other. (They are
opposites – not partners).
Gal. 5:19 … “The works of the flesh are…” (Not one spiritual attribute is produced by the flesh).
Eph. 2:2-3 … “Wherein times past ye walked according to the course of this world according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit which now worketh in the children of disobedience: among whom we also had our conversation in times past in the lust of the flesh and of the mind, and were by
nature the children of wrath even as others.”
Acts 17:26 … “God hath made of one blood all nations
of men to dwell on the face of the earth.” (Not two, but one blood in which we received death — for in Adam all die).
I Cor. 15:50 … “Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God…”.
This is why Paul told Timothy to give no heed to endless genealogies which minister questions. If salvation is by a natural seed (which we have seen that this is impossible) then either all of your descendants or relatives are either saved are lost. If one is lost, they are all lost and so are you! Case closed.
