THE HOMOSEXUAL HERESY

The spirit of homosexuality is attacking the church! One of the most troubling avenues of attack is in the spawning of a so-called gay apostolic denomination that teaches the basic Apostolic, Acts 2:38, Oneness message along with the promotion of same-sex marriages.

Many mainstream Christian denominations along with secular society have tolerated homosexuality, and in many instances have extended complete acceptance. How can this be? Doesn’t the Bible clearly teach against homosexuality? How can gays twist the Scriptures to justify their sinfulness? That is a question that the majority of us Christians really haven’t asked. And because of our indifference, we are losing saints, ministers, husbands, wives, sons and daughters to this destructive perversion.

Many of us feel that all we need to know is the declaration of Paul against homosexuality in Romans 1:26-27. It reads, “For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.” Would it shock you to see any other reaction than for a homosexual to fall on his face to repent? If so, prepare yourself for a response like this:

“You know, I feel as strongly as Paul does in preaching against heterosexuals engaging in homosexual acts! It’s against their God-given nature! Why, they’re heterosexual!” the gay Pentecostal might exclaim. “However, it’s not against my nature! God made me a homosexual and homosexuality is the natural use of my body!” Hmm, what will you say? You will discover that in the eight explicit references to homosexuality in the Bible, gay apostolics will claim that God disapproved of the circumstances but not the homosexuality.

So, just what is the homosexual position on Genesis 19:4-11 (Sodom and Gomorrah)? God is displeased with the inhospitality of the people, not at the homosexuality! What about Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13? God is displeased that disrespect is shown to the woman, not at the homosexuality. Deuteronomy 23:17? God is displeased with male prostitution, not at the homosexuality. Judges 19:22-25? God is displeased with homosexuals desiring to commit fornication with the man’s son and concubine, not at the homosexuality! I Corinthians 6:910? Again God is displeased with fornication, not at the homosexuality! I Timothy 1:9-10? God is displeased with those who defile themselves with mankind, so obviously these are homosexuals who are guilty of fornication, because sex within marriage is undefiled. So, again it is fornication that God is angry about, not at the homosexuality itself.

See what I mean? We must truly study the Word of God to be able to put up a strong defense of what it really says! It would be a sad state of affairs if Satan’s minions are more well-versed in the
Scripture than the church of Jesus Christ.

We must always remember that the Bible says what it means and means what it says. Also when Scriptures are taken out of their context, you can use the Bible to prove anything! An example? One could start a church based upon the verse that says, “No man hath seen God at any time!” Another church could teach, “I have seen God face to face!” By being pulled out of context, the two verses seem to be contradictory. And both churches can claim their doctrine is based upon the Word of God!

Gay theology has recently taken a further step that attacks the very nature and intent of God for humanity. It is an attempt to justify gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered sexual orientation from the very beginning of the human race. Stringing together a series of verses torn from their biblical context, this is one of the most dangerous heresies I’ve ever confronted.

Here is their faulty reasoning: Since a spirit is neither male nor female and has no need to reproduce, God, being a Spirit, has no gender. Since we were made in His image, even though we had the
capability to reproduce, there was no sexual orientation before the curse. Since no other male or female existed, gay, lesbian, or bisexual orientation did not yet exist. When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, sexual orientation became a part of the curse. In Genesis 3:16, God told Eve, “Thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over you.” Gays teach that this was the beginning of sexual orientation, namely heterosexuality, which produced other humans who became gay, lesbian, bisexual, as well as heterosexual.

The contention is also made that sexual orientation has nothing to do with sexual activity. Why is this point made? Because God told Adam and Eve before the curse to be fruitful and multiply. If aroused, gays or lesbians could participate in heterosexual sex without being heterosexual, is the pathetic point they attempt to make here. Adam and Eve supposedly could have had sexual activity without established sexual orientation since Eve did not know where to direct her desire until God told her in Genesis 3:16.

Obviously, the preceding argument is a contrived explanation that attempts to find some roots in Scripture for perversion. Common sense tells us that heterosexuality did not originate at the curse but at the creation of woman. But hold on, there’s more….

These gay theologians say that, after the Fall, God’s desire has been for us to return to our original state, namely, for us to be like Him, i.e., genderless or asexual. So that’s why Jesus said that in the resurrection we will be like the angels in heaven: “They neither marry, nor are given in marriage” (Matthew 22:30). Why is that so? Because the angels are genderless, having no need to reproduce. And we will be just like them in heaven, so consequently Christ desires for us to have no regard for gender now! Upon what do gays base the contention that Christ desires for us to have no regard for gender? The esteemed apostle Paul said, “There is neither male nor female; for ye are all one in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3:28).

What does all of that proof-texting mean to these gay teachers? Like God, we are spirit beings. Like God, we have no eternal gender. Like God, we are ultimately neither male nor female. Since gender is a temporary condition that has no place in eternity, it consequently has no place in governing our sexual activity on earth. God desires for us to love everyone as He does. So whom we love does not matter as long as we do love somebody, male or female. Some even take this logic to the conclusion that what we do with the human body does not matter because God only cares about the eternal spirit.

See what I mean? This pernicious agenda has taken over our media and is infiltrating our schools. We must guard our spouses, our children, our churches, and our communities against this doctrine of devils that will destroy the bodies and souls of humanity. We were made in the image of God, and that same God purchased the redemption of our souls and the healing of our bodies at Calvary! Let us rejoice in the words of Paul: “Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s” (I Corinthians 6:19-20).
