The Name Of The Lord

They call us JESUS’ NAME people. They say we split hairs. They say we make a play on words. “Just semantics,” they say. They say we make an issue of THE NAME OF JESUS. They say we are a cult…
(They called them “heretics” m the early church.)
“But this I confess unto thee; that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:” (Acts 24:14).
In every profession or occupation, The Name WHO a person is. A title indicates what the person does: The doctor doctors, the lawyer practices law, the Preacher preaches, But what is His Name? Billions of names and titles separate personalities, but only one Jesus; only one Almighty God who saves His people from their sins!
A name identifies or sets one apart from all others. Our dictionary reveals that a person is a separate and distinct personality. The name signifies the identity of a person. The name signifies the power and authority, or ability of a person to buy with, dispense, or give to those who know him. The name of the person indicates what only he legally possesses.
“You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give Him the Name, Jesus. (Luke 1:31) His Name is Jesus, meaning He will save His people from their sins. And that’s what He does. He saves us from sin. Jesus is the only Savior, so His Name signifies who He is and what He does – yet, O! so much more!
His Name also describes His Power and Authority in this world of words. His Name reveals Him not only as Savior but as the only Creator which makes Him the Almighty God, the only wise God.
Now there are gods; many gods, small and unwise gods who succeed in obtaining the allegiance of unwise people. They are mighty in deception but helpless when attempting to heal or save a soul.
They are mighty to entertain and sway the emotions of humanity. Religious entertainment involves the greatest deception and the most powerful hoax of the ages. But the gods of this gargantuan enterprise will stand helpless to protect you in your times of intense trouble, or grant you strength and true peace and joy. Then finally, when you stand in judgment, you will stand alone; your small unwise gods languishing in darkness awaiting their eternal fate.
Ministries that fail to proclaim the great commission or teach the masses how to be saved are simply and obviously reduced to the realm of religious entertainment. In our present world, the Mighty Moguls of Media Ministries, (MMMM,) raise billions of dollars from poor people and widows to promote their powerless entertainment programs; then use Jesus’ Name for everything but to tell people the message of salvation, and that there is saving power in His Name.
More billions are spent to rejoice over The Kingdom of God, but most of them fail to tell their audience WHO God really is, WHAT His Name is, or HOW to actually enter the Kingdom. Many of them are not in darkness, they know who Jesus is; but they fail to declare the whole counsel of God. To know and neglect SO Great salvation becomes sin.
Crowds and monetary success hold a greater attraction to the MMMM, than obedience to the King of the Kingdom they so shamefully capitalize on. The multitudes need the Salvation that’s in Jesus’ Name. Many are hungering after Him and would obey His Word if it were only more prevalent across the common media and in churches across our nation and world.
Precious souls are being “Blessing-ed” to death by the MMMM, (who have been commissioned to bring the knowledge of salvation through and in Jesus’ Name). The Word soberly proclaims, “Except you know that I am He You will die in your sins. ~
I believe the greatest outpouring of Jesus’ Spirit ever is still a possibility if the MMMM will repent and proclaim the powerful truth of salvation in Jesus’ Name to the masses who are looking to them for truth. Because they hold the masses captive, the MMMM has a golden opportunity to point the way to The Door of that marvelous kingdom. He is the Door, He is the Way, He is the Truth and the life. I am not ashamed to be called by that Wonderful Name that saves from sin – Jesus!
We Jesus’ Name people are literally bathed in blessings, just because we know His Name, we praise His Name, we are called by His Name, we trust in His Name. Because we know how great His Name is, because we revere His Name, we know His Name is a high tower and we find our way there and find safety. He knows we will keep His Name holy. We pray, hallowed be Thy Name. He knows, we understand that God gave Him the highest place and His Name is the highest Name. He said, “They will keep My Name holy.”
We understand: “Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, And every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2:9-11).
“So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.” (Hebrews 1:4).
We are not ashamed to be reviled and hated and openly ridiculed in the eyes of the world’s religious kingdom Of the MMMM… because some great days are just ahead when He will openly reveal Himself through the people who love His Name. “I will show the holiness of My great Name, which has been profaned among the nations, the Name you have profaned among them. Then the nations will know that I am the LORD, declares the Sovereign LORD, when I show myself holy through you before their eyes.” (Ezekiel 36:23).
Yes He is speaking of Israel but we who legally have His Name are a part of these great blessings. We are not boasting, we are not smug about our position in Christ. We want the whole world to receive the great revelation of God in Christ. We are the people of the Name of JESUS!
Promises to Those Who Know His Name
Nehemiah 9:5 – “And the Levites; Jeshua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah and Pethahiah said: Stand up and praise the LORD your God, who is from everlasting to everlasting. Blessed be Your glorious Name, and may it be exalted above all blessing and praise.”
Psalm 113:3 – “From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the Name of the LORD is to be praised. ”
Blessings of Safety
Proverbs 18:10 – “The Name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. ”
Isaiah 50:10 – “Who among you fears the LORD and obeys the word of His servant? Let him who walks in the dark, who has no light, trust in the Name of the LORD and rely on his God.”
Malachi 1:11 – “My Name will be great among the nations, from the rising to the setting of the sun. place incense and pure offerings will be brought to My Name, because My Name will be great among the nations, says the LORD Almighty.”
Warning to Those Who Do Not Revere His Name!
Leviticus 22.2 – “Tell Aaron and his sons to treat with respect the sacred offerings the Israelites consecrate to Me, so they will not profane My Holy Name. I am the LORD. ”
Deuteronomy 28:58 – “If you do not carefully follow all the words of this law, which are written in this book, and do not revere this glorious and awesome Name – the LORD your God. ”
Isaiah 29.23 – “When they see among them their children, the work of my hands, they will keep My Name holy; they will acknowledge the holiness of the Holy One of Jacob, and will stand in awe of the God of Israel.”
Isaiah 57:15 – “For this is what the high and lofty One says – He who lives forever, whose Name is holy: ‘I live in a high and holy place, but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite. ”
Ezekiel 36.23 – “I will show the holiness of My Great Name, which has been profuzzed among the nations, the Name you have profaned among them. Then the nations will know that I am the LORD, declares the Sovereign LORD, when I show Myself holy through you before their eyes.”
Declaring His Name
Daniel 2:20 – ‘Praise be to the Name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are His.”
Matthew 6:9- “This, then, is how you should pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name.”
Psalm 96.2-3 – “Sing unto the LORD, bless His Name; show forth His salvation from day to day. Declare His glory among the heathen, His wonders among all people.”
Psalm 102:18-22 – “Let this be written for a future generation, that a people not yet created may praise the LORD: The LORD looked down from His sanctuary on high, from heaven He viewed the earth, to hear the groans of the prisoners and release those condemned to death. So the Name of the LORD will be declared in Zion and His praise in Jerusalem when the peoples and the kingdoms assemble to worship the
LORD.”
Isaiah 9:6 – “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
Luke 1:31 – “You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the Name Jesus.”

Revelation 19:12 – “His eyes are like blazing fire, and on His head are many crowns. He has a Name written on Him that no one knows but He Himself.”
Revelation 19:16 – “On His robe and on His thigh He has this Name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.”
