THE WEDDING SERVICE

A wedding performed under the auspices of the church, either in the church building or outside on the ‘ grounds, is a service of WORSHIP. The following policies reflect that belief and we hope that your day will be blessed of God.

RESERVATIONS The date and time of the wedding and rehearsal are scheduled through the Church Hostess, who will confirm the date with the pastor before placing it definitely on the calendar. When the date is placed on the calendar, the hostess will then contact the bride concerning a conference with herself, the bride and. the bride’s wedding director.

THE OFFICIATING MINISTER

In weddings where an outside minister is to officiate the service, this should be told to the hostess, including his name, telephone number, and address. The minister(s) must be willing to work closely and in harmony with the Church Hostess.

When our pastor is to officiate, a conference with him will be scheduled by the hostess and you should bring your vows with you unless he is to provide them for you.

CHURCH HOSTESS

A conference will be scheduled by the hostess for the bride and her wedding director. (ALL weddings MUST have a director.) Please bring your outline of the service and the reception, also, the plans for the rehearsal, to the conference . The hostess will go over the policies with you. The director is required to contact the florist, photographer, caterer, and any other persons involved with the wedding to insure their understanding of the church policies. The hostess will open the church for the florist, decorator, etc. so she must be informed of their schedules. The hostess is required to be present at ALL of the activities

SCHEDULE OF FEES FOR MEMBERS

Church Hostess 50.00

This fee is to be paid one month before the scheduled event.
