What in The World Do You Believe: The End

ACT V
The End

I. What Happens When Someone Dies?

When a person dies, the bodes goes to the grave !n a state the Bible likens to sleep to await the resurrection (the reuniting of the body  and soul).

The unrighteoussoul waits in a place of unrestwhile the righteous soul waits in a place of rest(Luke 16:22-28).

The temporary abode for souls of the dead is Sheol or Hades (Psalm  16:10; Acts 2:27).

When Jesus rose from the dead, He conquered Hades and death , and as  a part of that victory, He led therighteoussouls out of Hades  (Ephesians 4:8-10).

When a Christian dies today, his soul rests in the Lord’s presence  (11 Corinthians 5:8; Philippians 1:21-24).

II. The Rapture

The next great event for the church is (C) (Titus 2:13)

A. Youth on Mission trip
B. Your Aunt Hilda’s birthday
C. The catching away of the saints (the Rapture)

At this time, the dead in Christ will be resurrected , and the  living saints will be transformed

Both will receive immortalglorifiedbodies (I Corinthians 15:5154;  Philippians 3:20-21; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).

Together they will meet the Lord in the air to live with Him  eternally!

III. The Tribulation

Matthew 24:21 says, “For then shall be great tribulation , such as  was not since the beginning of the worldto this time, no, nor ever  shall be.”

Revelation 6-19 describes this period of time. The only people this  passage describes as being saved during this time are C

A. Those who were sincere but didn’t know the truth
B. Those who lived in third-world countries
C. Martyrs and 144,000 Jews
D. None of the above

Revelation 13 tells of one who will be used of Satan to help gain  dominance in the earth. He is called the beastor Antichrist

The beast and his false prophet will establish a religious,  political, andeconomicsystem.

Most notable will be his absolute hatred for God and the things of  God.

In the middle of the Great Tribulation, God will pour out His wrath  upon unrepentantmankind by various great plagues.

At the end of the Great Tribulation, Satan will gather all of his  forces together in the Valley of Armageddon to crush all  opposition. Seemingly victorious, they will march on to Jerusalem  to claim their prize. Jesus will return and do battle against them  and destroy them (Zechariah 14:1-9; Revelation 19:11 – 21).

IV.The Millennium

After this time, Jesus will set up His kingdom on the earth and  rule. The saints will rule with Him (Revelation 20:1-6).

At the end of this time, Satan will be loosed from his bondage. He  will again stir up rebellion, which God will destroy with fire from  heaven (Revelation 20:7-10).

V. The Last Judgment

After this final conquest will come the White . Throne Judgment  (Revelation 20:11-15).

All whose. ;times are not written in the Book of Life will be cast  into the lake of fire, there to be eternally separated _ from God.

After this, God will destroy the present worldand will create a new  heaven and anew earth

The saints will live forever with Him in the NewJerusalem

V.Be Ready!

“Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come….  Therefore be ye also ready : for in such an hour as ye think not the  Son of man cometh” (Matthew 24:42, 44).

There is no more powerful force in a!! the world than the power of  God. To experience that power in your Iife, you need to know the  Source. God’s Word is given to us to help us to know our Creator,  Savior, and soon-coming King!

In John 8:32, Jesus said, “And ye shall know the truth, and the  truth shall make you free”

In John 14:6 He said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.”

From beginning to end, we have sought to know Him better, and now we do. Don’t !et this truth die; !et it set you free!
